Lion Adult Partner Guide

Make the most of your Cub Scout’s journey with the Tiger Adult Partner Guide!  This resource offers tips, guidance, and everything you need to support your Scout through fun and rewarding Tiger Adventures.

Rank and Advancement

The goal of every Lion Cub is to attain the Lion Rank.  Upon completion of the rank, the Tiger Cub will receive the badge at a formal award ceremony and receive recognition by the entire troop leadership, adult partners, the entire cub scout pack and scout troop.  It will truly be a red letter day to remember!  Attaining rank requires completing the 6 required adventures:

Bobcat Tiger
Character & Leadership

Tiger Bites
Personal Fitness

Team Tiger
Citizenship

Tiger’s Roar
Personal Safety

Tiger Circles
Family & Reverence

Attaining rank also requires completing any 2 of the elective adventures.  Pick whichever ones that interest you the most.

Uniforms

Please read our general section on uniforms first before reading any further.

Religious Emblem

During the program, Tiger Cubs are expected to work towards achieving their Religious Medals.  For our Jewish Lion Cubs, this is first the Aryeh Emblem, and then the Maccabee Emblem.

If the Tiger cub has already attained the Aryeh emblem, they can go straight to the Maccabee emblem, otherwise, they need  to complete the Aryeh emblem first.

When you complete the emblem requirements, you have also completed all the requirements for the required adventure Tiger Circles (Family & Reverence) as a bonus: two awards for the requirements of one!

Lastly, you don’t need to wait for the den to work on the Aryeh emblem.  You can begin working on it any time you like.
